Xavier’s Chair for X-Men: Days of Future Past

26 Feb

xmenchairsmainBryan Singer posted some pics of what Xavier’s icon wheelchair will look like for the upcoming X-Men movie X-Men: Days of Future Past.  This is the best part about movies at this stage of production.  Roughly a little over a year out, there are actual props being built and soon pics they can release of what the characters will actually look like.

This is only one picture, but if this is an indication of the quality, it continues to build my excitement.  I can see a bald James McAvoy doing his best Charles Xavier sitting in these chairs.  As they say, it isn’t over until the Bryan Singer Sings, I am pretty stoked!

It also delights me to think that maybe Peter Dinklage might go for a spin on these bad boys!

The Sentinels are Coming!

4 Feb

Sentinel (comics)

X-Men Days of Future Past is going to have Sentinels!  This could be fucking amazing…the first trilogy completely missed the boat on this.  Those giant robots have been a huge part of the X-Men ethos for a long time.  Shoot…who remembers the 90’s cartoon?  The best part was watching Wolverine, Storm, Cyclops, and the crew just completely trash the Sentinels!

Kitty Pryde is also supposed to feature quite a bit in this film.  This would make sense as the original story line has her travelling back.  Most are familiar with Cable due to the above mentioned cartoon.  Ellen Page will be playing Kitty again, so we should at least get have an actress with some skillz.

I am certainly more excited about this X-Men film than I have been about the last couple.  Let’s just hope they don’t screw up the end-game.
